The construction of the iron ore load out facility for the reopening of the iron ore mine on Koolan Island by Aztec Resources.
The wharf structure consisted of 70 piles plus all the structural steelwork required to construct the approach jetty, berthing dolphins and walkway trusses.
The construction of the wharf was entirely marine based, with piles pitched and driven in lengths of up to 56m from a barge while all structural steelwork was installed via a barge-based crane.
